Summary
E-Commerce has been evolving over the past decades due to the advancement of intelligent Internet technologies and increased interest and demand from online shoppers. We have seen the highest growth in the e-commerce sectors in the recent pandemic years as consumers have been relying on the virtual marketplace due to limited mobility. Even with the pandemic restrictions are expected to be relaxed and eventually withdrawn in the coming days, we are not expecting to see any decrease in the e-commerce businesses. In this research project, we will develop an innovative smart shopping solution that promises to provide the customers with real-time availability of the product/s based on pre-configured customers’ preferences and buying profiles. For example, many stores offer different prices for the same product. Manually reviewing all these products and prices in all the stores is inconvenient and time-consuming. The aim of the research is to extract the prices of given product/s from various stores (from their websites) and notify the customers of the best-offered prices based on customer preferences and pre-configured profile/interests. This will enable the customers to find the best quote in real-time for the given list of products. In addition, our tool will allow the users to get notifications when product/s of their choice become available in the marketplace. Our tool will be the first of its kind to offer customers the best possible deals in the market based on their pre-configured buying preferences.
