Summary

Careful selection and appropriate adaptation of effective lockdown measures and policies on various Covid-19 transmission factors can effectively contain the virus spread during the pandemic. In this regard, a model that can forecast the impact of various lockdown measures on the transmission rate in a meaningful and quantifiable manner would be of immense interest to the decision-makers such as government/public health authority. We plan to develop the above model in three phases: (1) Exploration phase: we will identify all the various social metrics with strong ties to the spread of covid-19. (b) Impact factor analysis phase: We will analyze the data from Phase 1 and assign impact factors associated with all metrics. (c) Modeling and simulation phase: This phase will produce quantifiable indicators (such as an increase or decrease percentage in infected population due to an adjustment of a specific lockdown measure/metric or a combination of several metrics).
