Why make graphics smaller?

Sunset --> 1600 pixels by 1200 pixels

1200*1600=1,920,000 pixels

each pixel gets 3 bytes to show the colour = 1920000*3=5760000 bytes

5760000/1024 = 5625Kilobytes

5625/1024= 5.5MBytes
