About

I’m Sabbir Muhammad Saleh from Dhaka, currently studying Computer Science as a Ph.D. student at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. Previously I worked as an Assistant Professor (currently on Study Leave) at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at City University, Dhaka. I have also worked as a Lecturer & Department Coordinator of the Computer Science & Engineering Department at the University of South Asia. I have my BSc in Computer Science and MSc in Computer Science (Software Engineering) from American International University-Bangladesh.

Academician & Researcher

My Favorite Quotes:

When I consider what people generally want in calculating, I found that it always is a number. I also observed that every number is composed of units, and that any number may be divided into units. Moreover, I found that every number which may be expressed from one to ten, surpasses the preceding by one unit: afterwards the ten is doubled or tripled just as before the units were: thus arise twenty, thirty, etc. until a hundred: then the hundred is doubled and tripled in the same manner as the units and the tens, up to a thousand; ... so forth to the utmost limit of numeration.- Abu Ja'far Muhammad ibn Musa Al-Khwarizmi

If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?- Albert Einstein

I don’t need to waste my time with a computer just because I am a computer scientist.- Edsger W. Dijkstra

When someone says, "I want a programming language in which I need only say what I want done," give him a lollipop.- Alan Jay Perlis

I’m doing my research works in the Software Engineering area, precisely on Software Processes and AGILE Development Methodology, Requirements Engineering, User-Centered Design, Software Architecture, Service Oriented Architecture, Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing.

I have some publications on Software Engineering by myself, and in the group, most of them emphasized Agile Software methodologies and Software Engineering Education. I have a publication on Service Oriented Architecture, mostly user-oriented, and I proposed an SOA model. I also contribute to working on the Internet of Things and Machine Learning papers with my colleagues.

I’m an optimistic and committed man who takes up responsibilities with supreme enthusiasm and gets to it that I complete my tasks and assignments in time. I have a great amount of determination to achieve my aim. My optimistic and strategic style in things I do is what driving me towards my success. As to how I attempt perfection in things, I expect the same from others as well. If things go out of control or way out of the track, I go the extra mile and contribute my determination to get things done in time. In my academic life at AIUB, I did Debate, Public Speaking, Recitation and held the organizational committee's Posts of Asst. General Secretary [2012-2013] & President [2013-2014] of AIUB Oratory Club.
